1.1 In these terms & conditions:
1.1.1 "You" refers to the Renter
1.1.2 "Rent A Dress" refers to SJS Sapphire PLT (Rent A Dress)
1.1.3 "Product" refers to dresses, accessories and all goods offered for rental on www.rentadress.com.my
1.1.4 "Contract" refers to your rental order of a product or products in accordance with these Terms and Conditions which we accept in accordance with all rental charges
2. Who We Are
2.1 We are SJS Sapphire PLT (Rent A Dress) having our business address at
Level 3A Block F,
Phileo Damansara 1
46350 Petaling Jaya,
trading as www.rentadress.com.my (“Rent A Dress”)
2.2 You, the Renter are entering into a Contract with SJS Sapphire PLT ("Rent A Dress") for the rental of our products.
2.3 These are the Terms & Conditions of the Contract. These and all relevant written correspondence relating to specific terms & conditions about the Contract, form the entire Contract between you and Rent A Dress. Any other terms & conditions that you use yourself, do not apply.
2.4 These terms & conditions can only be adjusted upon agreement by you and Rent A Dress and the adjustments are put in writing by Rent A Dress.
3. Rental Terms of Service
3.1 The Period of Rental begins immediately when the products are ready for you to collect at our premises or has been delivered to you. The Period of Rental ends when everything you have rented, is returned within acceptable conditions.
3.2 You are responsible for the products all the time they are not in our premises. You must take good care of the products and keep them in your possession throughout the Rental Period and any extension.
3.3 You are liable for all loss or damage caused to the products in their full replacement cost or value whichever is the higher. You must tell us in writing of any loss of or damage to the products without delay and you will pay to Rent A Dress the full cost of the replacement or repair of the products. In the case of loss of product and/or extensive and irreparable damage, you will be liable for and charged 1.5 times the retail cost of the dress (as per what is stated on the http://rentadress.com.my).
3.4 Security Deposit:
3.4.1 Rental Transaction made using Credit/Debit Card
There is no additional charge required in the form of security deposit if transaction is made using Credit/Debit card. However, should there be anything else owed to us (e.g. extension of hire period, unpaid invoices or for damage to and replacement of products, late returns, etc.) Rent A Dress reserves the right to charge the Renter via his/her credit/debit card
3.4.2 Rental Transaction made using Bank Deposit/Bank Transfer/Offline Cash
As well as the rental and other charges, the Renter will pay a security deposit of RM150 before the products leave our premises. Should there be anything else owed to us (e.g. extension of hire period, unpaid invoices or for damage to and replacement of products, late returns, etc.) Rent A Dress reserves the right to deduct from this deposit.
If you do not provide us your bank details within 3 months of the return date, Rent A Dress reserves the right to convert the deposit paid to store credit.
3.5 You may not alter or modify the products in any way.
3.6 If the products are held beyond the agreed Period of Rent, they remain in your possession without our consent. We will charge you RM50/day for this as well as for any damages for breach of this Contract if this causes loss to Rent A Dress.
3.7 If the Renter wishes to extend rental, the Renter must inform Rent A Dress in advance and will be charged a daily fee prorated against the total rental fee of your dress. This is different from late charges of RM50 per day (for those that aren't informed upon the rental).
3.8 You can only use our products for the specified production that you told us about. You cannot use our products for any other purpose without our prior written permission. You cannot let anyone else use the products.
3.9 You may not arrange cleaning yourself unless we have agreed this in writing.
3.10 Rent A Dress will use our best efforts to ensure the products are provided clean and in a wearable condition. The Renter must notify us of any damage or discrepancy (including but not limited to sizing and fit issues) within 24 hours of receiving the products. Failure to notify us within that time period means that you have accepted the products in the quantity, quality and condition in which they were received.
3.11 The products remain the property of Rent A Dress at all times and the Renter has no right or interest in them. If the products are sold to the Renter by written agreement, title passes from Rent A Dress to the Renter when the purchase price and all monies owing by the Renter to Rent A Dress in relation to the products being purchased are paid in full.
3.12 Unless it is for the designated filming/photo shooting purposes notified to us before making the Contract or for any authorised purpose ancillary or related to such specified purpose, you may not copy or duplicate either physically, electronically or digitally any item of the products so that they appear simultaneously or otherwise more than once. If you do this, you will pay additional charges based on the standard rental charge for each item of the products and the number of copies or duplications made by you.
3.13 If there are any changes to delivery and/or return address and/or methods and/or dates and/or timings, Rent A Dress must be notified before 3pm, on the day before the original delivery and/or return date. If Rent A Dress is not informed before the cut off time, the charges for last minute changes is as per below:
Change in delivery and/or return address and/or methods and/or dates and/or timings: RM30
Unable to return the dress on the original return date: RM50 per day
3.14 Changes to order date is limited to a maximum of 2 times subject to the availability of the dress on the newly requested date
3.15 Order must be made on the corresponding website from which the dress is to be picked up/delivered from i.e. if dress is to be picked up from Malaysia, the order must be placed from www.rentadress.com.my; if dress is to be picked up from Singapore, the order must be placed from www.rentadress.com.sg
3.16 If "Bank Transfer" or "Bank Deposit" has been chosen as payment method, proof of payment that the rental amount plus shipping amount plus RM150 security deposit has be deposited to the Rent A Dress bank account within 2 hours of the rental order must be provided to email@example.com. Rent A Dress reserves the right to cancel orders where the payment has not been made within 2 hours of the rental order.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
4.1 All cancellations of Contract with notice given at least 24 hours before the delivery date will be issued a store credit refund. This store credit refund is inclusive of rental price minus any discounts given. Any other charges will be refunded via the original method of payment.
4.2 If you cancel the Contract with less than 24 hours notice given before delivery date, you will need to pay a cancellation charge of RM50, which will be taken out from the rental price and any other costs minus any discounts given. The remainder will then be refunded via store credit refund. No cash refunds will be given.
4.3 No cash refunds will be given for the rental price minus any discounts given.
5. Special Promotions
5.1 For the discount code "PARTYINRAD", it is only applicable for two complimentary try-on dresses for first time customers. The discount code is only able to be used once. Rent A Dress reserves the rights to remove the discounts if ever there is a misuse in the discount code.
5.2 For the discount code "THREEMONTHS15", any order that is made using that code can only be changed to a later date than the original order date.
